We are SO excited to announce that we are opening our first cupcake concession in the luxurious and exclusive department store Harvey Nichols, in Knightsbridge tomorrow!

Mychelle's Baketique is also proud to announce another first; this will be the first holiday cupcake concession in Harvey Nichols, ever.

We will be opening for the holiday season November 1st-December 30th, and serving sweet delights such as our 50-90 mini cupcakes in raspberry kiss and chocolate covered strawberry, 'candy apples' with flavours such as caramel popcorn and chocolate covered brownie and 'CutiePies' in flavours such as peach cobbler and cherry pie.

We will be located in the fifth floor food hall, come see us for some goodies!!

We are obsessed with the new packaging for our 50-90 calorie line of mini cupcakes. Who thought egg crates can be SO cute!?

This adorable packaging is also eco friendly and recyclable! We love the pink, but it also comes in all shades of pastel. Tied to perfection with a satin bow, it is the perfect gift!

We don't use cases for the mini's, so the cupcakes themselves have no waste. What could be more perfect for hosting events?!

Throwback.

We are still having daydreams about being asked to take part in VideoJug's cupcake series of "how to..." videos. These videos went live for an audience of about a half a million viewers.. therefore we wanted to post some images to remind us of the fun. Michelle Husserl, of Mychelle's Baketique was asked as a "cupcake connoisseur" to make one days worth of "how to" videos....

What a days worth it was! 13 1/2 hours, and 11 "how to videos" later on things such as "how to make hello kitty, a dog, soccer, unique, sunflower, elmo, cookie monster, and baby shower cupcakes" we completed our first on air showcase.

Mychelle's Baketique recently had an amazing and rustic photo shoot with the insanely talented food photographer Moe Kafer. We are obsessed with the white washed woods, the turquoise wooden panels, and the shabby chic influenced white on white wooded background props. The photos came out phenomenal and ooooh so mouth-watering. Therefore we thought it would be selfish to not share some of these beautiful images. Try not to drool on the computer... :)

Olympics.

As an American patisserie chef and bakery owner living in London, It is pretty exciting that the Olympics come to town while I reside in this beautiful country. Tons of tourists placing Olympic orders and making us busier than ever. I could care less about sports to be honest.. but after the infamous torch passed by our home... the men and woman's cycling relay's both passed by our front door annnnd (drum roll please...) I met the entire USA dream team in an intimate setting. Soo you can now say I am completely a sports fan for life. Kobe, Lebron, Carmelo and myself totally bonded. BFF for life. (Yes, that needed to be in bold)...So that helped built up the Olympic hype for me insanely.

Now, let me rephrase what  I said above. As an American patisserie chef living in London it should be pretty exciting that the olympics come to town while I reside in this beautiful country. You know.. all of the creative Olympic cakes we can make.. we have the world and unlimited designs at our fingertips. Oh wait, no. We don't...the Olympic committee announced that only sponsors are allowed to use the Olympic symbols and banned all cake makers from doing so. How silly of them. 

Well. We gave ourselves about 4 and a half minutes to sulk over this, and then decided to make the best of the situation. We created some amazing British/American themed designs instead and sent an American flag made of 300 mini cupcakes off to our new BFF's Kobe, Lebron, Carmelo and the USA Dream Team (and a smaller version of a british flag to the UK Olympic Basketball team). After that, it is pretty obvious that we are the bestest 
friends they've ever had.

So all in all, the Olympics so far have turned out to be everything and more than we have hoped for. Here is an image of the british mini cupcake flag that we made at Mychelle's Baketique.
